We're delighted to announce that The Walkmen and Surfer Blood are playing New Slang in August.

Headlining are The Walkmen - one of the true greats of indie-rock over the last decade.  Their 2004 single 'The Rat' was arguably the best single of that year and in the course of their career they've released 6 studio albums all to critical acclaim.

Supporting we have Surfer Blood who last played for us in January when they were a band we'd read about but not heard too much of.  Since then their debut album 'Astro Coast' has proved a great record and we're delighted they are making the trip too.

Should be a great show. and with advance tickets only a fiver, you can almost be grateful that The Drums vacated this date!
