2020 for Bob Vylan started with a US tour, inclusion in the NME 100 list, a collaboration with UK punks Slaves and a worldwide Dr Martens campaign. But as uncertainty set and the prospect of playing live diminished to nothing, it became clear the music would have to do the talking. The single ‘We Live Here’ was released on March 27th with little fanfare but quickly grew into an unstoppable force as the underground community started frantically sharing the video. A much wider audience was starting to grow and despite the harsh reality of the lyrics, ‘We Live Here’ landed airtime on Radio 1, Xfm and Triple J cementing the importance of Bob Vylan’s powerful message.
