This LP is now only £5. thats brilliant! A classic debut, and some Kingston history!
Former Banqueteer and all-round Kingston legend Dave House's first LP gets a first-time-on-vinyl release for Record Store Day. This was our biggest selling album of 2004-2005 and a real important album in who we are now! Dave is a hero, and this album (recorded in the at the time living room of jt!) is a special piece of work. Acoustic pop FFO: Weakerthans, Get Up Kids, Death Cab, Young Statues.
Since the original release of “Kingston's Current” in 2004, Dave has gone on to release 5 more albums both solo and as a part of The Steal (Banquet / Get Outta Town / My Parents Records) & Pacer (Chunksaah Records). Further endeavours include split releases with artists as varied as Set Your Goals, Jenny Owen Youngs, Iron Chic, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly and many European and US tours. With record sales nearing 10,000 and a career spanning PR budget of under £100, this victory for DIY indie / punk rock is to be celebrated with a limited vinyl release on Record Store Day 2012.
