at Banquet Records, 6:00pm Admission will be via order number, please bring yours to the shop.To celebrate the release of 'Northern Sky', The Wellermen visits Kingston for an in-store set.Music is storytelling, and some of the best stories have been told through centuries-old traditional folk songsOn their new album 'Northern Sky', The Wellermen have given this rich traditional musical history a new sound, hoping to continue to captivate millions of fans around the world. It helps that The Wellermen's four members all bring their respective experience and perspectives to the table. The fact that they're from different corners of the world really adds something to the music - there's something romantic about the way the members have to go on a voyage to see each other. The Wellermen's history is well-known: having been the originators of the sea shanty trend on Tiktok, they've since gone from strength to strength, gaining a huge following across social media with new trends linked to their music. The group have now returned with their new album 'Northern Sky', where they have gone above and beyond to show they are indeed masters of their craft. Recorded in a cottage in the picturesque hills of Surrey, they poured their considerable knowledge and prowess into the album's 12 tracks, all of which fit their love of storytelling. Say the Wellermen: "It's all about connection and storytelling, and we hope the listeners are able to find something meaningful." Scrounge Thursday 24th April

Hannah Rose Platt Saturday 26th April

In a texturally rich and sonically varied opus, Platt guides us through a journey that is both horrific and beautiful in equal measure. We become silent observers of a night in the life of an ancient midwife (‘Curious Mixtures’), encounter the extraordinary tale of Anne Greene—a woman who survived her own execution and claimed her coffin as a souvenir in ‘Rest in Persistence’. We stand in awe alongside the first seven women to claim their place as doctors in the swampy, Tarantino-esque narrative of ‘The Edinburgh Seven’, and chuckle at the absurd yet infuriating roots of medical misconceptions in ‘The Wandering Womb Ballet’. The Lathums Monday 28th April

Andrew Cushin Thursday 1st May

Noel Gallagher has not only championed the young Geordie, but he also produced and played guitar on his track ‘Where’s My Family Gone’. Cushin’s songs are full of astute observations and honest meditations about life’s day-to-day tribulations. But despite the weight of the subject matter, his music possesses a tangible sense of hope too.
