Red hot reissue of two proper disco stompers from good ole Gladys here, as the impossibly rare Buddah 12" of "Love Is Always On My Mind" is joined by the ever-green "Bougie Bougie". The A-side is really a 10 minute  tour-de-force of relentless disco with Gladys's impassioned vocals doing their usual superlative job. Mint 12" copies are reputedly worth £200 but the fact is that there's no mint original ones left anymore. Until now. The flipside holds one of Glad's in-demand Columbia recordings, the Ashford & Simpson penned pearler "Bourgie Bourgie" on which Gladys laid down the definitive vocal to this club classic on the full 4.37 original 12" mix. Two definitive dance-floor gems on one 180 gram 12 inch pressing mastered from the original tapes. What more could you want?
