Their first release, Prelude to the Nocturne, still haunts my emotions hours after the first listen. The leading force behind Red Cable Sunday is Denis Fernando, a Londoner inspired by the history and actions of those who took to the streets of London in the 1930's to defeat Oswald Moseley's fascists. Fernando takes us on a transitional journey. Lilting melodies drift dream-like through the early stages of 'Prelude'. The simple beauty of his piano playing delivers a beautiful, personal soundtrack to help the listener through the worst of days. Gradually building and tripping into the solid undertone of 'Prelude', Fernando embraces us on his crashing journey and wraps us up in the warmth of his passion and emotive delivery. We join him on his terms, but it's a journey we want to make again and again.
