Fame [picture disc]
Continuing the Bowie 40th anniversary celebrations with the 1975 single Fame on 7" picture disc! FAME was taken from the album YOUNG AMERICANS, it was co-written with John Lennon and guitarist Carlos Alomar and was Bowie’s first #1 in the USA. The b-side of the single at the time was the YOUNG AMERICANS album track RIGHT. For this 40th anniversary RIGHT is now the AA-side and appears as an alternate mix previously released by Ryko/EMI in 1991. However, due to a mastering error it was released at the wrong speed. For this release that issue has been rectified. The colour image used on the A-side of the picture disc is by Andrew Kent taken whilst David was performing Golden Years on the Soul Train TV show in November 1975. He also performed Fame on the show on account of its recent success on the Billboard Hot 100. The AA side image is an outtake from a session with renowned 1940’s/50’s Hollywood photographer Tom Kelley.

Breaking Glass [40th Anniversary]
The 40th Anniversary of the Breaking Glass EP from the legendary David Bowie, now presented on picture disc vinyl with three previously unreleased live versions of the original EP tracks. The E.P. now features ‘BREAKING GLASS’, ‘ART DECADE’, ‘HANG ON TO YOURSELF’ and ‘ZIGGY STARDUST’ live from Earls Court in London during the Isolar II tour of 1978. These four tracks are alternative performances to the ones that recently appeared on the critically acclaimed live album WELCOME TO THE BLACKOUT (LIVE LONDON ’78), and none were featured on the original 1978 E.P.. Initially released in the UK in January 1977 on the groundbreaking LOW album, ‘BREAKING GLASS’ was co- written by Bowie, bassist George Murray and drummer Dennis Davis. A longer, reworked version of the song was a staple of the Isolar II Tour, and a live version from that tour was used as the lead track on the original live 7" E.P. to promote Bowie's second live album, STAGE in 1978.
