To celebrate the release of the new album 'Louder, Please', Rose Gray visits Banquet Records for a signing session ahead of the DJ set at Bacchus.Rose Gray has today announced details of her long-awaited debut album Louder, Please, which will see a release on Play It Again Sam on January 17th. The budding pop star, songwriter and DJ has had recent activity ranging from a hit collaboration with TSHA (‘Girls’) and performing at Glastonbury alongside Shygirl to launching her own club night - Rose presents Gray. From its instructive title to its unapologetic sound, Louder, Please is Rose Gray powerfully - but with quintessential, British politeness - backing herself (who she is, what she wants, and the artist she’s always had the potential to become). It’s a statement of intent reflected in the record’s breadth of collaborators, which span legendary pop kingpins Justin Tranter (Lady Gaga, Chappel Roan) and Zhone (Troye Sivan) to underground electronic heroes like Seda Bodega, Uffie and Alex Metric.-7:00pm start with all ages welcome.Albums will be for collection at the signing. It was moments of Eusexua that birthed EUSEXUA the album, as twigs cites her late nights in the underground techno scene of Prague.-5:00pm start with all ages welcome. Signing Session / Bugzy Malone
Thursday 23rd August
at Banquet Records, 6:00pm
In this week that his anticipated and critically acclaimed debut album is released, Manchester grime MC Bugzy Malone visits the shop to hang out and sign copies of B Inspired.
Bugzy has the authoritative, articulate presence that haloes only the best grime MCs. “I paint pictures with words,” he rapped last year, and it’s not a boast. Malone’s canvases reveal parallel worlds of poverty, physical and mental hunger, rage turned inwards and out, lives undervalued and thrown overboard – sink or swim, ride or die. Whether his true-life crime yarns are verifiable to the last word doesn’t matter because every bar is delivered beautifully at confessional pitch, with a preacher’s punch and sprinter’s pace.
6pm start with all ages welcome. In-store Grade C.
Anyone is welcome to come but priority will go to those who order B Inspired from us.

Q&A + Signing Session / Steve Hackett
Saturday 26th January
at The Fighting Cocks, 3:00pm
Celebrating the release of his new album, the legendary Steve Hackett comes to town for a Q&A + signing session. Formerly of Genesis, At The Edge of Light is Steve's 25th full length as a solo artist and sees him fusing a wave of different styles of rock to grand orchestration to grand atmospherics. He's most certainly had an incredible career and we're excited to be able to have a Q&A, signing session and a drink with this legend. Roger King will be the question master / compere for this!
"In these dangerous times, deep shadows feel even sharper than usual and we find ourselves standing at the edge of light... The contrast between dark and light weaves its way throughout the album in many ways, from the sense of good fighting evil through to the interplay of dark and light opposites magically combining in cultures, including the heartbeat of India and primal tribal rhythms. Ultimately, this album embraces the need for all musical forms and cultures to connect and celebrate the wonder of unity in this divided world."
Doors will be at 3:00pm.
Tickets and albums for collection at the venue on the afternoon of the event - please bring your order number with you.
Album+Tickets are available from £12, or LP combos from £20. Alternative options are also available here.
