Signing Session / L.S. Dunes
Friday 31st January
at Banquet Records, 5:00pm
If you've already ordered Violet from us, you can upgrade to attend the signing. One upgrade per album. To celebrate the release of the new album 'Violet', L.S Dunes visit Banquet Records for a signing session ahead of their show at The Fighting Cocks. The earliest version of L.S. Dunes—the one that introduced themselves to the world at Chicago’s Riot Fest in 2022 and went on to release their blissfully chaotic debut, Past Lives, later that year—was birthed in turbulence. There was a pandemic. There were time and family constraints. There were members away on tour with one of their many other bands: Frank Iero’s My Chemical Romance, Anthony Green’s Saosin and Circa Survive, Travis Stever’s Coheed and Cambria, and Tim Payne and Tucker Rule’s Thursday, among them. But somehow, they managed to make it work, touring the globe for a growing and passionate fanbase and finding their footing as a distinct and singular band of their own design along the way. Now, with the release of their second full-length album, Violet—once again helmed by Grammy-nominated producer Will Yip—L.S. Dunes live up to the promise set by their debut, and in many ways, open up an opportunity to rediscover the band in a different light: Where Past Lives takes its oxygen from the thrill of frenzy and impulsiveness, Violet breathes deeper with a more open and expansive palette. Whether it lives in the confident and steady pulse of a song like “Machines,” in the rousing lyrical empowerment of “Paper Tigers,” or in the way that “Forgiveness” forges itself as an anthem for love and unconditional acceptance in the face of our personal failures, Violet is a body of work that secures multiple outcomes: There is hindsight. There is hope. There is, in fact, magic.-5:00pm start with all ages welcome.Albums will be for collection at the signing. Admission will be via order number, please bring yours to the shop.

Signing Session / WUNDERHORSE
Thursday 5th September
at Banquet Records, 6:00pm
To celebrate the release of the new album 'Midas', Wunderhorse visit Kingston for a signing session. With rugged hooks, unfltered noise, and ferce melodic sensitivity, Midas rips up the script of traditional second albums and establishes the band as an endlessly addictive and rousing generational talent. In late 2022, the release of their debut album Cub saw singles 'Purple' and 'Leader of the Pack' dominate radio airwaves. Landmark performances flling Glastonbury's Woodsies Tent (FKA John Peel Stage) and selling out London's Kentish Town Forum months in advance followed tours with Pixies and Fontaines D.C. and stadium appearances with Sam Fender, signalling the band's arrival as one of the most prominent and exciting new guitar acts in the UK.With Grammy Award- winning producer Craig Silvey (The Rolling Stones, The National, Florence + The Machine) on board for their sophomore record, the band looked to do something different. Their goal - in the very same studio that Nirvana put In Utero to tape and PJ Harvey recorded the Mercury Prize-nominated Rid of Me - was to push themselves outside of their comfort zones."There's absolutely no faking on this record," ends Slater, "it's not supposed to be perfect; it's supposed to be a snapshot, even if it is a bit of an ugly portrait. That's how it was then, and that's how you're gonna see it." And it sounds like you're right there in the room with them.-6:00pm start with all ages welcome.Albums will be for collection at the signing.
