Who’s Been Having You Over is the first single from Peter Doherty, The Libertines and Babyshambles new band, The Puta Madres. Paradise Is Under Your Nose will be the second single. The Libertines were one of the most influential guitar bands of the last decade, and we all know the evolution to Babyshambles and now his creative output is via solo work simply under the moniker Peter Doherty. All tickets for the postponed solo show earlier in the year are STILL VALID. OH YES!!! Peter Doherty's show from earlier in the year has been re-scheduled for 19th November and not only that but he is bringing Babyshambles with him! Yes the incredible Babyshambles will be playing in Kingston town at New Slang and we cannot wait. With new songs ready to go and 2 brilliant albums under their belt this is sure to be a superb night! Peter Doherty Hamburg Demonstrations The second solo album from Libertines main man and Kingston visitor Peter Doherty‘Hamburg Demonstrations’ includes a new recording of the Amy Winehouse tribute ‘Flags Of The Old Regime’(now called ‘Flags From The Old Regime’). The album also features ’Hell To Pay At The Gates Of Heaven’ written after the Paris attacks last November – it laments the fact that young people are now picking up guns instead of guitars “Come on boys choose your weapon J-45 or AK-47?” (Gibson J-45 being John Lennon’s favourite acoustic guitar),’Kolly Kibber’ inspired by Kolley Kibber, the newspaper man who meets a sticky end at the beginning of ‘Brighton Rock’ and ‘A Spy In The House Of Love’ a title borrowed from the Anaïs Nin novel. Written during lockdown and produced by Frédéric Lo ‘The Fantasy Life of Poetry & Crime’ was recorded at Cateuil in Étretat (Normandy) and Studio Water Music in Paris and mixed by François Delabrière at Studio Moderne, Paris.
