Dylan Taylor
Monday 5th May
at Banquet Records, 5:00pm
Admission will be via order number, please bring yours to the shop.To celebrate the release of 'Radio Flyer', Dylan Taylor visits Kingston for an in-store set.The heart of a poet and the power chords of an old-soul, New Age Janis Joplin…Atlanta-born Dylan Taylor conjures up her own magical, hardcore blend of “genre mut” voodoo whenever she puts gut-wrenching, heart-felt lyrics to the guitar-raising lyrical. This Nashville rebel pushes every boundary, from one outrageous extreme to another, picking up the pieces of addiction and ruin and singing the quiet parts out loud — with a riptide of unflinching, confrontational, hook-tastic emotion. Like the “genre-mut” she is, Taylor embodies the essence of rock, folk, country, and blues. There’s not one fake note in her, or her original, stand-alone releases: from the epic, 2018 breakthrough anthems, “Sarah Dreaming” and “Get High,” to two major EPs— solo and most recently, with her latest Hippie Speedball band (“Fuck the Police,” “Don’t Think Twice,” “Good for Wreckin’”) — loaded with gut instincts, laugh-riot vibes, and brute honesty, the kind a true soul sister shares with her BFF. -In-store Grade B. Performance expected to start shortly after time shown.Priority will be given to anyone who orders a copy of 'Radio Flyer' from us. If there's space on the day for more people, we'll let you know!

Biig Time
Tuesday 27th May
at St John's Church, 7:00pm (14+)
Admission will be via e-ticket. Your e-ticket will be delivered to your email address in time for the show (typically the day before the event). To celebrate the release of '200K', Biig Time visit Kingston to play at St John's Church.Badly kept main-stage-leaping, aspirational indie-rock secrets don’t come much bigger than BIIG Time, the tune machine side-project cranked by DMA’s guitarist, Johnny Took and his brother, PLANET’s singer, Matthew Took, and yet the wait for album news has lasted… until now. The duo has finally, officially announced the release date for their long-awaited debut by releasing its first shoegazey, emphatic, big-chorused single, Bigger Than Nothing – OUT NOW. Adding poignancy to the release, Bigger Than Nothing’s video features never-before-seen, deeply personal, fly-on-the-wall home video footage of the brothers’ childhoods in Sydney, opening a window into a “life-long friendship that shines through their songs and harmonies.” A year after Johnny Took enjoyed the most recent run of long-distance flights and late nights associated with the release of DMA’s Official UK Album Chart Top 3 album, How Many Dreams? the Sydneysiders break temporarily from their motherships to confirm their own 11- track collection. Given the title 200K and released on Fri 9 May 2025 on All Sorted Records, BIIG Time’s official announcement follows high-profile live warm-ups on the Australian dates of Courteeners and Jamie Webster. Hiding in plain sight, following the release of their 2020, standalone debut single, It’s You, their intriguing West Coast-by-garage rock counterpoint to DMA’s emotive, arena-filling indie left onlookers wondering what might come next. Five years on, Bigger Than Nothing finds the pair confident that, for every note of introspection the single holds, there’s ample confidence in the joy 200K will spread. “‘Bigger Than Nothing’ is our first release since our first and only single ‘It’s You’ back in 2020! It’s quintessential BIIG TIME,” says the band. “Harmonies the whole way through and distorted guitars. Lyrically it’s full of tongue in cheek self-deprecation and floating in and out of the feeling of not being good enough for people and situations around you. “It’s the first single from the album, which is a collection of gems that we have written over the years. We couldn’t be prouder to share this first taste.” Chalking up four DMA’s albums and a worldwide fanbase, not least in the UK, a story that started with their 2016 debut album, Hills End, Took is no stranger to arenas and main stage festival appearances. Meanwhile, Matthew’s PLANET’s band, catapulted by the release of their 2022 debut album, Information Overload, have already supported the likes of Liam Gallagher.-Times TBC but we expect doors at 7:00pm with a stage time of 8:00pmThose aged 14+ can attend unaccompanied. 8 to 13 year olds must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult (18+). Those Damn Crows
Saturday 29th November
at Pryzm, 7:00pm (14+)
Admission will be via e-ticket. Your e-ticket will be delivered to your email address in time for the show (typically the day before the event). To celebrate the release of the new album 'God Shaped Hole', Those Damn Crows visit Kingston to play an extremely special "never to be repeated" full band unplugged set with a Q&A at Pryzm. There’s a song on God Shaped Hole, the fourth album from powerhouse UK rock band Those Damn Crows, that sums up everything about them. The track is called No Surrender and it pulses with defiance and intent. “If you want to achieve, you’ve got to make them believe,” sings TDC frontman Shane Greenhall over pounding, heavy riffs and a barrage of drums. Those sentiments are drawn from bitter experience, but like all the best Those Damn Crows songs, it finds positivity in the struggle. At a time when rock music is constantly (and incorrectly) written off, Those Damn Crows prove it’s more alive than it has ever been. God Shaped Hole is the sound of a band at the very peak of their powers – but one who are determined to keep building on their achievements.-Times TBC but we expect doors at 7:00pm with a stage time of 8:00pmThose aged 14+ can attend unaccompanied. 8 to 13 year olds must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult (18+).
